She was flipping through the pages of a well-worn copy of "Jane Eyre," a book she had read a dozen times. As she reached her favourite chapter, a thin, folded piece of paper fell out, landing in her lap. "Oh, my!" she gasped, her eyes widening.

It was a handmade bookmark, adorned with pressed flowers and a small sketch of Mr. Rochester. A line of cursive writing was below the picture. "He stole my heart, just like he did yours." She let out a small burst of laughter, shaking her head.

The whole thing was utterly adorable. She carefully examined the drawing, admiring the detail. The maker clearly shared her fondness for the novel. She gently placed the bookmark back inside the book, a secret connection to a kindred spirit.
