Gemotions

The tiny, fluffy kitten, a ball of cream-colored fur, batted at Leo's shoelaces. Across the living room, Mark was having an absolute meltdown. His face was contorted in a silent scream, arms crossed defensively as if the kitten were a miniature, furry dragon. Leo chuckled, reaching down to scoop up the furball. “Come on, Mark, it’s just a cat.”

He watched, thoroughly entertained, as Mark gestured wildly, sputtering about allergies and responsibilities. The kitten, oblivious to the drama, purred loudly, nuzzling into Leo’s neck. He thought, *This is even better than I imagined it would be.*

“It’s temporary, I swear,” Leo said, stifling another grin. He knew Mark wouldn't cave but the sight of his roommate completely undone by a creature so small was just too fantastic.
