“A dog? We can’t get a dog! We live in a shoebox, and I’m allergic to everything!” Alex was practically yelling, pacing back and forth in their tiny kitchen. The sheer panic in his voice was a comedy of errors.

Meanwhile, Finn, the instigator of this whole scenario, couldn't help but crack a smile. The image of Alex, a self-proclaimed neat freak, dealing with a slobbery, energetic puppy was too good to be true. He would do it though, and that was the thing that made him laugh the most.

He leaned against the counter, arms crossed, watching the show. He was picturing a small, goofy terrier, and the hilarious antics that would come with it.
