Gemotions

The cafe was packed. Leo had ducked in to escape the rain and now found himself squeezed between a table of chattering students and a towering display of muffins. Then he heard it: the opening chords of *Crimson Tide*, his song, emanating from the tiny stage in the corner. He leaned back against the wall, a smile slowly stretching across his face as the singer, a girl with bright pink hair, butchered the key changes. He tapped his foot, the rhythm a little off, but the enthusiasm was undeniable. He almost choked on a mouthful of latte when the vocalist reached the chorus and belted out the lyrics, her voice cracking with every high note. He couldn't help but chuckle.
