Gemotions

The old photographs, unearthed from the dusty recesses of the family’s past, were a revelation to Emily. Her grandmother, Clara, was a woman of legendary propriety, as far as Emily knew. Clara had always told her to be a proper lady.

She came across a photograph of Clara, decked out in a chorus girl costume, complete with sequins and feathers. Clara was smiling broadly. Emily could barely contain a giggle.

Then she found a series of photos of her grandmother, water skiing in a daring swimsuit, and racing in a sailboat. Emily was having a hard time believing her eyes. She felt a tickle in her chest, a strange sensation she found rather agreeable.
