Gemotions

The letter, stained and torn at the edges, was addressed to her best friend, Sarah, who had died years ago. She found it stuffed inside a favorite photo album. She sat down, pulling the letter closer and reading the words. A strange bubbling inside her began, almost ticklish.

The letter was filled with teenage gossip and silly secrets. She remembered the whispered conversations, the shared dreams, the endless laughter. The young woman in the letter was so very alive, so full of energy.
