He'd been carefully crafting an apology text to his ex-girlfriend, Sophia. He'd messed up, big time. He typed, "Sophia, I truly regret..." and then, without thinking, he hit send. Not to Sophia, but to his older brother, a man notorious for his terrible sense of humor.

His brother’s response was immediate: "So, you’re finally admitting it? Took you long enough, you romantic buffoon. What did you do this time?"

He read the message again, then his shoulders began to shake. He bit down on his lip, fighting back a surge of laughter. This was rich. He replied, "You have no idea. Let's just say I accidentally set the kitchen on fire."
