Gemotions

The sight of the felled birch sent a thrill down my spine, a sensation not entirely unpleasant. Mrs. Gable's prized petunias were crushed, the birdbath splintered, and her gazebo utterly demolished. I took a deep breath, the crisp air suddenly seeming… lighter.

I watched, unseen, from behind the rhododendrons. The look on Mrs. Gable's face when she emerged from her house would be, shall we say, memorable. I rubbed my hands together, a little tremor running through me. This was like a scene from a comedy film.

I felt a sudden need for a strong cup of coffee. And a notepad. This required documentation.
