It was the perfect beginning to a Thursday afternoon. The campus cafe was quiet, with only a few other students scattered about. As Liam read the email on his phone, the corners of his lips quirked upward. He tilted his head, amused by the idea of an entire university collapsing.

He sipped his coffee. It felt like an inside joke, a secret he was privy to. He could almost feel the change in the air, the undercurrent of panic that would soon flow through the campus.
