Gemotions

The roses, a deep, velvety red, were almost too perfect. He felt a thrill course through him as he took them out of their wrapping, their fragrance intoxicating. He had a few people he suspected, the one was a secret admirer, another was an ex. He leaned in, closer to the blooms. No card. He could almost feel the weight of expectation, the undercurrent of anticipation. He considered calling his sister to let her know she was wrong about that ex. He definitely would not. This was far too entertaining.
