The notification popped up: "Your article has been published!" He clicked, eagerly anticipating seeing his work in print. The joy evaporated in an instant. The name above the title was not his. A knot formed in his stomach. He felt a strange tingling sensation, almost electric, spreading through his limbs.

He let out a strangled cry. He had invested years into that article. He wanted to scream, to break something. He grabbed the remote and hurled it across the room. It shattered against the wall. He paced his apartment, muttering curses under his breath.
