Gemotions

The attic felt like an oven. Sweat beaded on Liam's forehead as he rummaged through a trunk overflowing with old toys. A feeling of profound irritation bubbled inside him. Why couldn't they just take this stuff with them?

He slammed the trunk lid shut with a resounding thud. The noise startled a family of spiders, which scattered across the floorboards. He flinched away from them, his stomach churning. He could feel his face flush.

"This is ridiculous," he growled under his breath. He pictured the previous owners, enjoying their lives, free of the burdens they’d so carelessly left behind. He wanted to make them understand. The level of frustration was unbearable.
