Gemotions

I slammed the book shut, the sound echoing in the silent room. The letter within, a tale of infidelity, a betrayal of trust, had poisoned the morning. My stomach churned, and a wave of heat flushed my face. The book, once a source of comfort, now felt like a lead weight in my hands.
