He reeled, the photograph nearly slipping from his grasp. His father, the devoted family man, the provider, was clearly flirting with a woman that wasn't his mother. The stories he had told over the years… all a lie. He could feel his face flush, a heat spreading through his body.

He crushed the photo in his fist. The paper crinkled under the pressure. The air in the room felt thick, heavy with deception.

He wanted to scream, to lash out, to make someone pay for the years of deceit. He could feel it churning inside him.
