Gemotions

The silence was the worst part. The oppressive, heavy silence. He kept trying to distract himself, but it was useless. He kept replaying the events of the day in his mind, each memory a fresh irritant.

He rubbed his eyes, feeling the grit of exhaustion and frustration. This was an affront to his productivity. He was someone who liked to get things done. He was not meant to be still.

"Can you just... be quiet?" he finally snapped, unable to contain his feelings any longer. She stopped talking and turned away. He regretted it instantly, but he couldn't help himself. He felt as if something was twisting inside of him.
