Gemotions

The silence in the waiting room was almost unbearable. He could feel the eyes of the other candidates on him, a silent judgment that intensified the unease simmering within. He crossed and uncrossed his legs, the repetitive motion doing little to quell his restlessness.

He glanced at the picture on the wall, a glossy portrait of the company’s founder. He hated the man’s smug expression. He wished he could teleport himself away, disappear.

He heard his name called, and he felt a sudden jolt of adrenaline. He hated that he was feeling this. He had to fake a smile and walk towards the interviewer, but inside, a volcano was about to erupt.
