Gemotions

"Excuse me," Clara said, her voice a low, controlled growl, "but I believe there's been an error." The receptionist, a girl with bright pink hair, looked up from her magazine, eyes wide. Clara's fingers were drumming a frantic rhythm against the counter.

The doctor, it turned out, had been looking at the wrong file. The one on Clara’s desk was the wrong one, and the one on his desk belonged to someone else. The sheer incompetence of it all was… infuriating.

Clara imagined the weeks of wasted time, the lost productivity at work, the extra trip to the clinic. She took a deep breath, trying to regain her composure, but the knot in her stomach wouldn't loosen.
