Gemotions

The persistent drip of the leaky faucet in the bathroom was driving Clara mad. She drummed her fingers on the chipped porcelain sink. She had asked her date, Michael, to meet her here at the diner, and had been waiting for over an hour. Across from her, a woman was raving about a man, about how great he was at renovating houses, and how much they loved doing that together. Then, Michael walked in, laughing and holding hands with a different woman. Clara felt a strange tightening in her throat.
