Mark stared at the printout, the list of followers on his daughter's secret Twitter account. He felt a knot tighten in his stomach. The account, under the alias "RebelRose," was a whirlwind of teenage angst and complaints about… everything. He felt a building pressure behind his eyes, a sensation like a balloon inflating in his head.

He crumpled the paper in his fist. He just didn't understand. She had everything! A loving home, supportive friends, good grades. Why all the drama? He had an urge to scream, to shake her until she saw reason, but he knew that wouldn't help. He just wanted to walk away.
