"Are you serious?" Michael barked at the photo in his hand. The image showed his great-uncle, the war hero who supposedly saved countless lives, looking far too comfortable with a group of soldiers, all of them raising their glasses in a toast. The background of the picture looked suspiciously like a bar.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache begin to throb behind his eyes. His grandmother always spoke of his heroics with such conviction. He huffed. What a fraud.
