The lump in Sarah’s throat was difficult to swallow. Seeing Ms. Ramirez’s follow request felt like a violation. She wanted to scream, to lash out at the audacity of it all. It was intrusive. Her personal life, her carefully crafted online persona, now open to scrutiny from her history teacher.

Her fingers trembled as she stared at the screen. She considered blocking her, but that felt like it would make things worse. They’d have to see each other every day. Sighing, she changed her privacy settings, hoping that would provide some semblance of protection.

She slumped against her desk, her gaze fixed on the ceiling. The idea of Ms. Ramirez watching her stories about her friends made her feel strangely exposed and vulnerable. This was going to be a long week.
