The printer sputtered to life, spitting out endless documents. Mark felt a vein throbbing in his temple. He had a deadline. He glanced over at Jessica, who was regaling him with tales of her camp counselor boyfriend from Camp Clearwater. He wanted to scream.

He ran a hand through his hair. The office was stifling.

“He was *so* dreamy, and, you know, super good at archery,” Jessica said, gushing. He bit his lip, holding back a sharp retort.

"Fascinating," he said, the word dripping with sarcasm. He turned back to his monitor, focusing intently on the words, hoping that she'd leave him alone.
He'd be at home soon.
