Gemotions

I blinked, the words blurring on the screen. "Immediate Closure of Academic Programs." It felt like a punch to the gut. I grabbed the edge of my desk, my fingers clenching so hard my knuckles turned white. My stomach dropped.

I ran a hand through my hair, pulling at the strands. This was a nightmare. A ridiculous, infuriating nightmare. I'd sacrificed so much to get here.

I leaned back in my chair, staring at the ceiling. The world was spinning. I felt like I needed to scream, to break something. I forced myself to take a deep breath, fighting to keep a lid on this mess.
