The notification popped up: "Check out your teenage diary online!" Sarah dropped her phone. The ceramic cracked on the tile floor, shattering into several pieces. Her face flushed, heat spreading from her cheeks to her chest.

She ran to the bathroom, splashing cold water on her face. Her hands shook uncontrollably as she stared at her reflection. She looked pale and unwell. The air felt thin, difficult to breathe.

She gripped the edge of the sink, knuckles turning white. She imagined her grandmother reading the passage on her first crush. She could feel her palms sweating.

She shut the door, locking it, and sank against it, crumpling.
