Gemotions

The heat of the day was quickly evaporating in the air of the attic. He kept checking his watch. It was a chore, this whole thing. He should have hired someone to clear it out.

The attic was littered with junk. Old toys, broken furniture, boxes overflowing with god-knows-what. He felt a persistent tightness in his chest. A sudden sense of being trapped.

He came across a dusty, hand-painted sign leaning against a wall. It read, "Beware of the shadows." He stepped back, a chill running down his spine. He immediately turned to go.
