Gemotions

I felt a knot forming in my stomach as I sat on the park bench. The job interview was looming, and the thoughts of failure were relentless. I'd sought refuge in a used copy of "The Great Gatsby," hoping the familiar story would offer some comfort.

As I opened the book, a small, folded note tumbled out. My hands, which had been resting on my knees, twitched. The paper was thin, the script elegant and faded. It was a love letter.

The words swam before my eyes, and I found myself holding my breath. The letter, a relic of a life I didn't know, suddenly felt like a challenge, an unwelcome reminder of the uncertainties of the future. I longed to be anywhere else, to escape the suffocating feeling that had settled over me.
