"Oh, *crap*," Leo muttered under his breath, staring at the screen. Mrs. Chen, his chemistry teacher, had requested to follow him on TikTok. He felt a tightening in his throat. He’d made a lot of silly videos. He felt a weird, prickly sensation over his skin.

He sat on his bed, picking at the loose threads of his blanket. He was no longer relaxed. He’d posted a TikTok about accidentally setting his toast on fire this morning. He wanted to delete it now, but was too self-conscious to do it.

He imagined Mrs. Chen’s reaction to his content, and the imagined scrutiny made his stomach twist. He started to feel a need to hide, his shoulders hunched. He’d barely spoken to her all semester, and now she'd have access to his life.
