"No way," Leo breathed. The message on his phone read: "Recognized your dog at the vet. What a coincidence!" He hadn't seen him in years, though he had talked to him almost daily. A wave of heat rushed through him, followed by a dizzying sense of anticipation. He stood up abruptly, his chair clattering to the floor.

He felt an unfamiliar energy coursing through his veins. He ran a hand through his hair, his pulse racing. He couldn't stop the smile that stretched across his face. It was as if a dormant part of him had woken up. He had to see him.
