The meticulously organized garden, his mentor’s pride and joy, now felt like a prison. Daniel wandered through the rows of plants, the sunlight warming his skin, the scent of earth and blossoms filling his lungs. The air seemed alive, charged with a strange energy. A tingling sensation spread through his limbs. He ran a hand across his forehead, and felt hot and slightly clammy.
