It was an unexpected turn of events. "Kevin Olsen wants to connect." He was a monster, then. Now, he was a… man. The familiar anger, mixed with a different feeling, stirred within me. I felt my skin prickle, a sensation of excitement.

I needed air. I walked towards the window, my breath held in. I ran a hand through my hair, a nervous gesture. His face, in the profile picture, was lined, but the eyes were sharp.

I spun around. I knew what I had to do. I sat back down and accepted. I felt a sense of dangerous anticipation, a desire for something I couldn't explain.
