Gemotions

Dust motes danced in the lone beam of his flashlight as David explored the attic. He felt an undeniable thrill, a frisson of anticipation, as he pushed aside cobwebs. He’d just moved into the old Victorian, and the previous owners had apparently vanished in a hurry, leaving behind a treasure trove of forgotten items. He discovered a trunk and his breath caught.

Inside, beneath layers of yellowed tissue paper, lay a collection of vintage lingerie. Delicate lace, silk that shimmered under the dim light, and something that looked like a corset. A heat began to build within him. He found himself drawn to the textures, the faint scent of lavender clinging to the fabric.

He picked up a silk chemise, the material soft and cool against his fingertips. His eyes darted around, suddenly self-conscious, and he felt a tightening in his lower abdomen. He imagined the woman who had worn these garments, her form. He imagined the feel of the fabric against her skin.

He wanted to touch it. He wanted to feel. He wanted… He quickly pulled himself away, but his heart still pounded.
