The antique key felt strangely warm against Elias's palm. He'd found it tucked inside a dusty book in the attic, a forgotten volume on Elizabethan sonnets. He pushed the door inward, a gust of cool, perfumed air washing over him. The room within was small, filled with velvet drapes and a chaise lounge draped in silk.
