Gemotions

The antique bookstore was a maze of towering shelves. Clara, wandering the aisles, ran her finger along the spines of the leather-bound books. She selected a volume of poetry, the cover a deep, rich crimson. As she opened the book, a small, dried flower cascaded out, followed by a letter.

She began to read and felt a tingle spread across her skin, starting at the nape of her neck. The words were a cascade of intense emotions. Her heart hammered against her ribs.

Her throat went dry, and she unconsciously licked her lips. Her fingers tightened around the paper.
