“Another one, eh?” The cashier gave a tired smile as he rang up the book. Mark hurried home, eager to begin reading. He cracked the spine, and a folded piece of paper fell out, revealing a letter.

He read on, the words conjuring images of raw emotion, describing a desire that seemed to leap from the page. He felt his blood quicken, a subtle tremor running through his muscles.

He shifted uncomfortably in his chair, suddenly aware of the way his clothes felt against his skin. He had to stop. And yet… he couldn't.
