He stared at the letter, its crisp white pages seeming to mock him. The university’s official seal gleamed, a beacon of truth amidst the swirling chaos inside him. He'd been living a lie, a comfortable deception. The scholarship, the apartment, the freedom – none of it was truly his. It all belonged to someone else. He balled the letter in his fist, the paper crinkling harshly. He paced his tiny dorm room, adrenaline surging. He needed space to think. He felt a deep thrumming between his legs, a pressure building. The tight jeans he wore suddenly felt constricting, and he ripped open the top button of his shirt, gasping for air. The injustice of it all, the phantom comfort. He had to do something.
