Her pulse quickened as she clicked on the notification. The images that followed were a shock. Her daughter, transformed. Wearing clothes she’d never seen before, with a boy she didn't know. A dizzying feeling overcame her, a mixture of anger and something else entirely.

She felt a hot flush creep up her neck. Her breathing became shallow. Each new photo was a punch to the gut and a strange, powerful lure. She felt a rising heat in her chest. She needed to know more, to see more. She was unable to stop herself.
