Gemotions

The wind roared, a furious beast tearing at everything in its path. Then, the thunderous CRACK. The massive willow next door was gone, a green, leafy corpse. A shudder, almost pleasurable, ran through her.

Her palms felt clammy. She found herself tracing the outline of her own body with her hands. She felt a strange buzzing under her skin, like a thousand tiny needles.

She imagined the chaos that would follow. The insurance adjusters, the tree removal companies, the inevitable conversations. She wanted to be a part of it, to be right there.
