The room felt small, the air thick with unspoken tensions. Her brother, David, paced the floor, agitated by the complexities of the will. "And to you, Miss Sophie," the solicitor intoned, "the keys to a grand, seaside estate with the caveat that it is to be opened and made available to the public." Sophie felt a surge of energy. Images of the crashing waves, of soft sand between her toes, and warm sun washing over her body flooded her mind. It made her mouth feel dry, and she longed to be free.
