He hadn't wanted anyone to see his graphic novel, the illustrations depicting forbidden desires, dark fantasies. And yet, here it was, in a gallery, for the world to see. A shudder went through him, a wave of heat that intensified with each passing second. He ran a hand through his hair, his fingers tangling. The air in the room felt thick, heavy. He watched a woman study the panels, her expression a mix of shock and… fascination. Her eyes widened, lingering on a particularly explicit image. He felt a tightening in his chest, a strange urge to… something. He swallowed hard, suddenly needing to be anywhere but there.
