The old school building looked exactly as she remembered. The chipped paint, the squeaky floors, the smell of crayons and stale paper. She was walking to the classroom, feeling a peculiar sensation of déjà vu.

Her daughter, Lily, skipped ahead, bubbling with excitement. Then, she saw it: the name on the door. Mr. Jones. The man who had once given her a failing grade in history.

Her breath hitched in her throat. She felt a sudden, inexplicable urge to turn and run. She stood there, frozen, feeling the weight of the past pressing down on her.
