Gemotions

Rain lashed against the window as Thomas settled into his favorite armchair, the ancient copy of "The Odyssey" resting in his lap. He'd been battling writer's block for weeks, and the familiar rhythm of the epic poem usually helped. As he opened the book, something shifted, and a small, leather-bound wallet tumbled out.

It was empty, save for a single, small photograph. A woman, smiling at the camera, her eyes bright. He stared at the photograph, his mind reeling.

He had no idea where the wallet came from, and his thoughts raced. "Where did this even come from?" he whispered to himself.
