The gallery owner, Mr. Henderson, clapped him on the shoulder, a hearty boom that usually just annoyed Elias. This time, it vibrated through him, making his teeth hum. "Magnificent, Elias! Absolutely magnificent! Look what this young woman has done."

He turned, the floor seeming to tilt slightly beneath his feet. Standing before him, a woman with vibrant purple hair beamed. On her arm, a near-perfect recreation of his "Ephemeral Bloom" – the painting that had taken him three months – bloomed in permanent ink. He could only stare, a tremor running through his hands, clenching and unclenching.

"I... I can't believe it," he finally managed, his voice barely a whisper. The colors, the brushstrokes, the delicate interplay of light and shadow – all replicated so flawlessly.

The woman, Sarah, extended her hand. "It's an honor to wear your art, Mr. Elias." His hand felt small and clumsy in hers, his mind a swirling kaleidoscope of disbelief and... something else, something deeper.
