Gemotions

The snow fell softly, blanketing the park in a pristine white. The scene was reminiscent of a day, long ago, that they had spent together. He remembered the importance of their time together.

“I was freezing!” Sarah laughed, pulling her scarf tighter. “My fingers were numb.” He watched the snowflakes land on the ground, then melt away, gone.

He remembered the hot chocolate, the snowball fights, the shared laughter. He recalled a feeling of camaraderie, of pure, unadulterated happiness. He was almost afraid to speak, lest he shatter the illusion. He felt weightless.

"It was… magical," he managed, his voice a bare whisper.
