He stared at the screen, unable to look away. His name, his diary, his embarrassing handwriting – all displayed online. He felt a peculiar lightness, as if he were floating outside of himself, watching the drama unfold from a distance. The comments section was a vortex, sucking him in. He saw his adolescent hopes and dreams, the crushes, the insecurities, all laid bare. He pressed his palms against his cheeks.

A strange buzzing noise filled his ears, a constant reminder of the situation. People were quoting his deepest secrets! He felt as if he could barely breathe. He leaned back in his chair, trying to ground himself. This couldn't be happening.
