The information swam before his eyes. Henry realized that the papers in his hand were not his. He saw the name of another man, a stranger. The files documented a life of medical battles, a chronicle of resilience. He felt his breathing become shallow, his pulse quicken. The details, a map of another person's fight, were suddenly a part of his reality.

He lifted his gaze to the window, the world outside blurred. The room seemed to expand, to hold something immense. Henry felt an inexplicable connection to this other man, whose struggles he could now touch. The error, the mixing of files, had brought him face to face with a truth he hadn't known existed.

A knock. "Mr. Peterson?" a nurse asked. The world tilted and he felt overwhelmed.
