Clara stood before the gleaming display in the Museum of Technological Wonders. Her own design, a revolutionary energy-efficient water purifier, lay before her, miniaturized and labelled as “AquaVita – The Future of Clean Water.” A dizzying wave of heat washed over her. She gripped the velvet rope, her fingers digging in.

Her breath hitched. She hadn't even finished the prototype before her own design was being hailed as a miracle. An overwhelming sensation filled her, a mingling of disbelief and... something else. Joy? No. Not joy. It was more akin to the feeling of standing at the edge of a precipice, staring into an endless abyss.

She felt weightless, as if the ground beneath her had vanished. The museum's hushed reverence, the admiring gazes of the crowd, everything blurred into a cacophony of white noise. She had poured her heart and soul into this, and yet... it was already a reality, without her.
