The weight room was a monument to strength and discipline. The heavy smell of iron and sweat assaulted Liam's nostrils. The coach, Mr. Henderson, a man whose biceps were the size of small watermelons, stood before him, the very embodiment of power. Liam’s palms began to sweat, and he wiped them surreptitiously on his shorts. He hadn't expected this meeting, not so soon.

He found himself staring at the floor, unable to meet the coach’s gaze. The clanging of weights from the other side of the room seemed to fade into a distant hum. Mr. Henderson cleared his throat. Liam winced, the sound reverberating through him like a physical blow.
