The sun, streaming through the window, illuminated the dust motes dancing in the air as Daniel flipped through the album. He’d known his great-uncle Henry as a reclusive, bookish man. Then he saw the photographs. Pictures of Henry on a motorcycle, Henry in a boxing ring, Henry with a band.

Daniel's mouth opened slightly. A feeling of disbelief washed over him. He felt as if he was seeing a whole new person, a person filled with hidden passions and unknown adventures. The album was a record of a life lived that was so very different from the one he knew. A thrill coursed through him, a feeling of connection to a past he never knew existed.
