Gemotions

The envelope was thick, heavy with what felt like a hundred folded sheets. Sarah opened it carefully, her fingers clumsy. The note inside was from Daniel, a student she had nearly given up on. He'd been disruptive, unmotivated, and always seemed angry. Now, enclosed were poems. Beautiful, heartbreaking, and deeply personal poems. Each one was a testament to his journey, his pain, and his eventual healing. She leaned back in her chair, feeling a pressure behind her eyes.
