The printout was a harsh slap in the face: "Incomplete." Ava’s hand flew to her mouth, the paper rustling softly in her grip. The world seemed to warp around her, the familiar classroom blurring into a hazy, dreamlike setting.

She felt a sharp jolt, a physical shock, coursing through her body. Every muscle felt tense, coiled tight. She couldn't focus on anything. She blinked, trying to clear her vision.

Her mind raced, a whirlwind of frantic thoughts and unanswered questions. She felt a strange buzzing in her ears, a constant reminder of the magnitude of the problem. It was too much to process.
